Addition – intro and review

Yesterday we looked at our game cards. It is becoming obvious that we need to know how to add and subtract! Let’s begin with reviewing addition.

Let us look at symbols of the belief systems we are looking at in this U.o.I.


Once you have found out what they are, and you have done the matching activity, can you find out anything else? Can you work in pairs to come up with one or two more facts about one of the symbols?

Ask yourselves these questions: –

  1. What questions would we like to answer about this symbol?
  2. Where are we going to look for information?
  3. How are we going to know if the information is correct or trustworthy?

Talk about them for 5 minutes with your partner, then try to find out the answers to your question 1.
