Portfolio – beginning to assemble your portfolio

It’s nearly Student-Led Conference time! (SLC) We need to begin the process of getting your portfolio together.

Let’s investigate what a portfolio is and what it’s for. Get into groups of three and talk about these questions. We will get back into a large group later to share your ideas.

1. Purpose: What is/are the purpose(s) of your portfolio?

2. Audience: For what audience(s) will your portfolio be created?

3. Content: What samples of your work will you include? What is the purpose of the pieces you choose? (Growth Portfolios)  – include something from each U.o.I. done so far, Mathematics, Language Arts, PE, Performance Arts, Visual Arts, Languages. WHERE WILL YOU INCLUDE IT? (Paper or digital)

4. Process: How will you select your work to be included? How will you reflect on your work? (Reflection)

5. Communication: How and when will your portfolio be shared with an audience? What will happen during your SLC conference? (Conferencing)

Let’s discuss your answers as a class.
